''If you’re of a Nebbiolo kind of mind, this is about as exquisite as value gets. It’s a wine of finer details, no broad strokes allowed. It’s devilishly good.'' 93 Points, Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
Perfume. This Nebbiolo has it in spades. Rose-hip, violet and young fennel interplayed with red fruits of raspberry, cranberry and crunchy red cherry skin. There is an earth element here too, almost stoney or edgey.
Moscato sits at the top of the hierarchy of all of Bera's wines. This is one of the very few wineries in Italy where sweet wine is king, the flagship, and continues to be the estate’s most revered wine.
Borgo Maragliano La Caliera Moscato d’Asti DOCG 2016
The unusual and distinctive vine produces a full-bodied, robust and velvety Moscato d’Asti. The intense aroma carries a fragrance of candied fruit, acacia flowers and a typical musky but delicate bouquet. Its scent of “violet” is quite unique.
