A tasty Alsace with restrained but distinctive acidity and fruit. Tight nose of slightly sharp pear fruit.. Palate of sweet and sour chewy pear and mildly sweet white grapefruit flavour. It’s a beautiful and easygoing Auxerrois.
The soils and climate of the northern French region of Alsace are perfectly suited to the production of Aromatic white varieties such as Pinot Blanc. This Pinot Blanc from Bruno Sorg is a great example that shows lovely concentration and complexity.
Rich, full wine with typical Pinot Gris fatness and spice but it also has the acidity on the finish to give balance. François Sorg is achieving excellent balance to go with the richness his wines have always had.
A fresh, fruity and floral nose. On the palate, this first impression is sustained by the typical freshness of the vintage 2012 combined with a nice fruity character. A salty after taste with a good length. It has a beautiful yellow colour with glints of green and a lively, expressive nose offering flavours of citrus fruits. Fruity and fresh on the palate with a good balance.
Light-bodied and elegant, this fresh Pinot Gris enlivens the flavours of kumquat, stone, melon and sliced almond with a zesty streak of acidity. Rated 91 Points, Anne Krebiehl, Wine Enthusiast Magazine
